Driving is becoming scary and scarier by day due to the prevalence of car hijackings. I’ve found that whenever I get in my car to drive, I always carry a quiet fear for these violent attacks can happen suddenly, without warning.
However, scripture reminds us that God is our refuge and defender, even on the roads we travel daily.
As Christians, we are not called to live in fear, but in faith. We bring every concern—visible and unseen—before the Lord in prayer. This prayer for protection from hijackings is a declaration of trust in God’s power to preserve our lives, guard our movements, and command His angels to watch over us.
You may pray this before leaving home, while seated in your car, or anytime you need reassurance of God’s covering.
Prayer for Protection From Car Hijackers
Lord Almighty, I ask for Your divine protection from carjackers.
Please cover my car with the blood of Jesus Christ and always put a wall of protection around it that no criminal can penetrate (Job 1:10). Command your angels in regard to it, to protect and defend and guard it everywhere it travels(Psalms 91:11). Shield it from dangerous encounters, suspicious individuals, and unsafe routes.
I declare that my going out and my coming in are preserved by You now and forevermore (Psalms 121:8) In Jesus Christ name, Amen.
