As believers, our understanding of success is rooted in God’s Word—not human effort alone. Scripture makes it clear that true success comes from the Lord when we walk in obedience, meditate on His Word, and commit our plans to Him. As we prepare for 2026, this prayer is anchored in Bible verses that reveal God as the One who causes His people to prosper, establish their work, and bear lasting fruit.
This is not a prayer for selfish ambition, but a petition for God-caused success—success that glorifies Him, blesses others, and aligns with His purposes.
Prayer for God-Caused Success in New Year
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I commit my plans, my work, and my ways into Your hands, just as Your Word instructs me (Proverbs 16:3). As I enter 2026, help me to meditate on Your Word day and night and to walk in obedience to all that You have written. For You have promised that when I do so, You will make my way prosperous and grant me good success (Joshua 1:8).
Plant me like a tree by streams of water, bearing fruit in its season. Let my leaf not wither, and cause whatever I do to prosper, according to Your Word (Psalm 1:1–3). I acknowledge that it is You who gives me the power to succeed and to produce increase, so that Your purposes may be established in my life (Deuteronomy 8:18).
Order my steps, establish the work of my hands, and let my success be righteous, sustained, and fruitful. May everything I accomplish in 2026 bring glory to Your name and be a blessing to others. I receive this by faith, according to Your promises, in Jesus’ mighty name.
