Day 4

Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”— 2 Kings 5:10

Naaman, a renowned commander, sought healing from leprosy. He travelled to see the prophet Elisha, expecting a miraculous cure. Instead, Elisha instructed him to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. Initially insulted, Naaman was persuaded by his servants to obey. Immersing himself in the river seven times, his skin miraculously healed. This simple act of obedience restored his health.

This story offers a powerful lesson for our lives today. God’s instructions often don’t align with our expectations. They may seem ordinary or even trivial—resting when we feel pressured to strive, forgiving when our hearts yearn for justice, or making lifestyle changes that challenge our comfort. Yet, just like Naaman, our breakthroughs are often linked to these small, faithful steps.

When God nudges your heart, do not ignore His gentle promptings. The very thing you hesitate to do might hold the key to the renewal and healing you seek.

True healing is more than receiving; it is participating. Trust Him enough to follow, even when His ways seem illogical, and you may find that what begins in simplicity ends in transformation.
