As the festive season approaches, many hearts are filled with joy, travel plans, and celebration. But in the midst of the excitement, we must not ignore the spiritual atmosphere that surrounds this time of year.
A Prophetic Dream About Falling Arrows
Two years ago, around this same time, I had a vivid dream that has stayed with me. In the dream, I saw arrows falling from the sky, striking and harming people unexpectedly. It wasn’t just symbolic—it felt like a spiritual warning.
When I woke up, I was immediately reminded of how this joyous season often coincides with a sharp rise in accidents, sudden deaths, and spiritual attacks. Whether it’s road accidents, emotional breakdowns, or strange sicknesses, the festive season often comes with unseen dangers.
Psalm 91: A Timeless Word for Protection
The Holy Spirit brought this Scripture to mind:
“Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.” (Psalm 91:5 NLT)
This verse has become my daily declaration of divine protection. The Bible recognizes that arrows—both physical and spiritual—can be launched during the day, but we are not to live in fear. Instead, we stand on the promises of God.
What Do “Arrows” Represent Spiritually?
In Scripture, arrows often symbolize:
- Attacks from the enemy (Psalm 11:2)
- Sudden destruction (Deuteronomy 32:23)
- Demonic assignments (Ephesians 6:16 refers to “fiery darts of the wicked”)
These attacks may appear in the form of:
- Fear
- Accidents
- Illness
- Sudden loss
- Emotional heaviness
- Division in families
But the Word of God assures us of protection when we abide in Him.
A Prayer for Protection From Flaming Arrows This Festive Season
Heavenly Father,
This festive season we take refuge under Your wings.
Let no arrow that flies by day or by night come near me and my household.
Shield us from seen and unseen dangers, and cover us with your presence.
Please command your angels to guard us in all our ways. Let us dwell in your peace and safety this season and forevermore,

Stay Alert and Prayerful
This festive season, remain spiritually alert. Declare God’s Word daily, cover your family in prayer, and trust that the same God who warned, also protects.
Let this be your declaration over the end of 2025 and the start of 2026:
No arrow formed against me shall prosper.
